"So I tell you, when you pray for something, BELIEVE that you have ALREADY RECEIVED it. Then IT WILL BE yours. (Mark 11:24 NIrV)
(KJV) Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
This is one of those "Jesus" statements" that is beyond the natural minds ability to fully accept or comprehend. I have read tons of commentary trying to "explain away" this apparently wide open statement. Actually it doesn't say anything in it, before it, or after it about being the will of God or being righteous or anything. It just is what it is and says what it says. It is a GOD thing that is outside the boundaries of our finite intelligence. The King James in this instance actually used the best word here from the Greek aiteō and just generally means whatever you want or desire which make it YOUR will not God's.... I cant figure it out - just is what it is, and I have to believe it even if I dont believe enough to make mountains move or throw trees around Jesus said it was possible... I think He was just teaching us about the power of faith - faith that is beyond the natural and most likely will not be experienced without a radical change in our nature. I believe this will come with spiritual maturity that frankly we just have not reached yet.
